Bonsai has a long history in Thailand and can be traced back to several centuries ago when Ayutaya was Thailand capital.  During that period, due to the flood (every monsoon season), Siamese (Thais) would not be able to keep a normal gardens.  They would grow plants in pots on their terraces to replicate a real garden or miniature forest.  This had developed into bonsai.  Various bonsai trees have occasionally been cited in Thai literatures during Ayutaya and early Rattanakosin periods.

Business

Choldan Bonsai has a large collection of Bonsai trees.  With nearly 30 years of experience in bonsai growing and nurturing, we have taken care of our plants. We do take great proud of all our Bonsai trees. 

We are located in the beautiful north of Thailand called the province of Petchaboon.

Publication

Mr. Praung Ngamchant has recently completed a book, viz. Bonsai Growing and Nurturing Techniques (to be published soon).  It took him more than 5 years and more than 30 years of experience to complete this book.  Praung has been a contributor to a Thai magazine Mai-Dok & Mai-Pradap (Flower plant and???).  We are looking forwards to promote bonsai growing.
